So, I didn’t accomplish the splits by the end of summer 2016. In fact, I haven’t made a lick of progress in that regard in 6 months. That’s fine with me! In all honesty, I wasn’t too disappointed when I saw these two pictures; I kind of saw it coming. You can’t really make any progress when you don’t do anything.
I have made progress in other areas, so not seeing progress in this area doesn’t bum me out. Heck, I’m much more flexible in both of those pictures than I was 6 months prior to the first picture. Also, I’ve focused my training on other areas like power and strength and have seen progress there. I think not being down about this is a testament to my improved outlook on training. Woo!
It’s also a good wake up call that I need to get my ass in gear and start working on flexibility again…
